Simple Baby Growth Tracker ("the app") is designed to be fully private. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
None. The app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with the developer or any third party.
The information you enter — your baby's name, date of birth, sex, growth measurements (weight, height/length, head circumference), and any developmental milestones you mark as observed, along with their dates and any notes — is stored only on your device, in the app's private local storage. The app never sends it anywhere — the only way any of it leaves your device is if you create a report or a backup and choose to share or save it yourself (see Reports you create and Backups you create below).
The app can generate a pediatrician report as a PDF. The report is built and written entirely on your device, into the app's own temporary storage, and it is replaced each time you generate a new one. The app does not upload it anywhere and has no ability to — it still requests no internet permission.
If you then choose to share, print or open that report, Android hands the file to the app or printer you pick from the system chooser. What happens to it after that is governed by that app or service, not by this app or this policy. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose it.
The app can export everything you have recorded — the profile, the measurements and the milestone observations — to a backup file that you can restore later, including on a different phone. The file is written on your device, and you pick where it is saved using Android's own file picker. The app is not told, and does not record, where you put it.
A backup contains your baby's personal records in readable form and is not encrypted or password-protected. Keep it somewhere you trust, and treat it as you would any other personal document. Restoring a backup replaces the data currently in the app.
As with reports, the app itself never uploads a backup and has no ability to — it requests no internet permission. If you save one to a cloud folder or send it to someone, that is your action in that other app, and that service's privacy policy applies to it.
Your data remains on your device until you delete individual entries within the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app — any of which permanently removes the data. Generated report files live in the app's temporary storage and are removed when a new report is generated, when Android reclaims cache space, or when the app is uninstalled. Backup files you have saved are yours: they live wherever you chose to put them, are not touched by uninstalling the app, and it is up to you to delete them when you no longer want them.
The app is intended for use by parents and caregivers. Any information about a child is entered by the caregiver and stored locally on the caregiver's device only; it is never collected or transmitted.
The app is for personal tracking and educational purposes only. It is not a medical device, a diagnostic tool, or a formal developmental screening tool, and it is not a substitute for standardized, validated developmental screening. Act Early.; both are shown for information and monitoring only. Children develop at different rates. Always consult a qualified pediatrician about your child's growth, development and health.
